Firearms Instructor Workshop

Our firearms instructor workshop is an intensive 40 hour program. The goal of this program is to teach you the skills, necessary for developing and conducting effective high value firearms programs.
 
Instruction will be focused on the following:
Firearms safety, fundamentals of marksmanship, firearms nomenclature, instructional techniques, adult learners, loading and unloading,  revolver loading and unloading, revolver reloading, handgun selection, ammunition selection, equipment selection,  use of force, use of cover, unconventional shooting positions, multiple target engagement,  plus one threat concept,  malfunctions, drill development, how to run a drill, time management, drill selection,  drawing the handgun from a holster, dealing with problem shooters, critiquing students,  course development, malfunctions, unconventional shooting positions, ready positions,  multiple shots, multiple target engagement, tactical priority, one hand shooting techniques and many more topics.  
This instructor program has been 20 years in the making.

Instructor Bio:
Sam Conway is a professional firearms instructor with over 20 years’ experience. Sam is an original member of the United States Army Marksmanship Units Action Pistol Team, a firearms instructor for the Georgia Public Safety Training Center responsible for the training of local, county and state law enforcement officers. Mr. Conway was previously employed by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Sam is the owner of American Shooters Edge.

Requirements for the course:

• Minimum 2000 rounds of pistol ammunition.
• Handgun (semi-automatic preferred) 9mm or larger, four magazines.
• Belt Holster, (No cross draw or shoulder holsters), two single or one double magazine pouch.
• Eye and ear protection. Range bag. Durable Belt. Notepad and pen, Black Markers. Hat. Comfort Items.
  

A $100.00 nonrefundable deposit is required to hold a slot. Balance due on first day of class. We accept all major credit cards and checks.  

As a special, all our courses with attendance of 10 or more paid students will include a chance to win a new Glock handgun.  The pistol will be awarded to the most accurate and fastest student in the course.
